FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you accredited with the Better Business Bureau?

You bet! You can see our A+ status on the Better Business Bureau’s website.

  • My guests have dietary restrictions. Can you work around them?

Absolutely. Although we are not technically an “allergy free” facility, and cannot 100% guarantee that a menu item can be completely free of allergens, most of our sauces are gluten free, and as a scratch kitchen we can prepare food to accommodate your guests.

  • Do you work with non-profits and tax-exempt companies?

We work daily with tax-exempt entities and would love to honor your tax-exempt status with appropriate documentation. Please contact us with any questions whatsoever.

  • Do you have a cake cutting fee?

We do not have a cake cutting fee. Our Event Managers and Field Chefs are trained to cut wedding cakes and would be happy to provide this service for you.

  • Do you have a corkage fee?

We do not have a corkage fee and our service staff can assist with opening bottles.

  • Do you have a minimum on your delivery orders?

During the week, we have a minimum order of 10 for box lunches, buffets and all menu items. Over the weekend, we will also have a cost minimum of at least $450.00.

  • Do you provide food to the vendors for weddings?

We love to feed your hard-working vendors at weddings and full-service staffed events. Generally, the industry standard is to include the vendors in the guest count.

  • How long have you been in business?

Biscuits and Berries is proud to have been in business since December of 1992.

  • How much notice do you need to set up a delivery order?

We respectfully request 2 business days’ notice for all delivery orders. The more notice you can give us the better, as it allows us to guarantee your delivery and plan accordingly.

In the event of a last-minute request, we will absolutely try to accommodate your order, however we cannot guarantee orders inside 2 business days of the event date.

  • I want to stick to my budget, are you willing to work with managing that?

Absolutely. Most of our clients have a budget and we look forward to working within the constraints of our menu and service options available to provide you with great value.

  • What is your alcohol policy?

We regularly coordinate liquor orders and arrange for delivery of alcohol on behalf of our clients. Off-site caterers do not carry a license to sell liquor so you can’t pay us directly for alcohol, but we’re happy to assist. We also hold liability insurance, which enables us to serve/bartend for your guests as well.

  • What makes Biscuits and Berries unique?

Biscuits and Berries’ inspired signature service is consistently remarkable. We create one-of-a-kind experiences that exceed expectations. Each customized menu is built on your desired flavors, aesthetic and ambiance, and style and will leave an indelible impression on your guests. Biscuits and Berries brings the whole kitchen to you, no matter where you are.

Unlike other catering companies, we don’t reheat our food on-site, but create fresh, 100% from scratch local cooking with top-quality ingredients. Our food is served hot when it should be hot and chilled when it should be chilled.

Whether your event is a corporate gala, business lunch, birthday party, baby shower, engagement party or wedding reception, we can accommodate and will employ the same passion, dedication, and attention to detail for each experience we cater—regardless of scope or size.

  • What type of menus do you provide?

Biscuits and Berries’ creative and innovative chefs are well versed in all styles of cuisines, from Contemporary American to Traditional French to Authentic Thai. We love food and enjoy fulfilling our client’s vision. Talk to one of our event designers about what you’d like and let us bring your ideas to fruition!

  • When are payments required on delivery orders?

Payment is due the business day prior to the event date. Typically for all delivery order, we require a credit card to be placed on hold to secure the delivery. Our accountant will charge the card automatically before the delivery date. Other payment terms can be arranged for public or corporate entities.

  • Where do you cater?

The state line is our only border! We travel regularly to the western slope, mountain towns and the plains, and welcome the opportunity to cater anywhere around Colorado. For off-site, staffed catering we bring our own kitchen setup to cook food fresh for your guests, so we really have the ability to cater any event, anywhere you are.
